Most women struggle to find swimwear that fits their body, that’s designed for movement. They are normally designed to look good when you’re sunbathing or just standing up. Not very modern, if you ask us. So after years and years of search for swimwear that doesn’t move around and that feels comfortable and supportive, we decided to create HUG Swimwear.
Two women with different experiences of swimwear. One who could find the right size that fit decent, but that felt uncomfortable and miss fitting. And one who couldn’t find the right size unless it covered what felt like the hole body. None of them could find swimwear that made them feel good.
And that’s how HUG Swimwear was born. We believe you should be able to do the things you do in your swimwear. Move around, play in the water, sit, stand or lay down. You should feel free to move. Our swimwear is produced in a carefully selected factory in Portugal, specialised in sustainable and high quality swimwear. All HUG Swimwear designs are created in the circular fabric ECONYL® made exclusively from waste materials such as industrial waste, fabric scraps, old carpets and discarded fishing nets from the ocean. It’s then recycled and regenerated into new nylon.
ECONYL® maintains the same level of quality as conventional nylon and can be recycled over and over again without compromising its quality. Compared to conventional nylon, ECONYL® has a lower environmental impact and generates up to 90% less CO2 emissions during production. Another benefit of this material is that it saves waste material that would otherwise pollute the environment through landfills and incineration.
